About Far Reach Jobs

Work where the map gets quiet.

Far Reach Jobs exists for one simple reason: rural and bush communities need talent, and the jobs are scattered everywhere.

If you've ever tried to look for work in Bethel, Kotzebue, Mountain Village, Nome, Dillingham, Fort Yukon — or any of the dozens of small tribal communities across Alaska — you already know the struggle.

  • Every organization posts jobs on a different website.
  • Every listing uses a different format.
  • And nothing shows up on mainstream job boards.

So I built this.

Far Reach Jobs automatically gathers postings from tribal councils, health consortia, school districts, regional corporations, and rural municipalities. No ads. No tracking. No middlemen. Just the jobs, in one place.

Why This Exists

This didn't come from a company, a committee, or a grant. It came from burnout, frustration, and a stubborn need to make something actually useful.

Last time I looked for rural work, I had 30 tabs open. One was a PDF. Several were borderline broken websites. Most were completely isolated from search engines.

If the big platforms won't index rural communities properly, then someone has to. So I started scraping. And people actually began using it.

What This Site Does

  • Finds the jobs in remote and hard-to-staff communities
  • Pulls postings directly from their official sites
  • Refreshes automatically
  • Links you straight to the original employer
  • Doesn't store, sell, or track anything about you
  • Stays small, clean, and fast

This project will never become an ad farm or a data-harvesting trap. Rural towns and tribal regions deserve better than that.

Who This Site Is For

  • People who want to live in small towns, villages, and remote communities
  • Folks who want quiet, solitude, or a different pace of life
  • Skilled workers who want to serve communities that genuinely need them
  • Alaska bush job-seekers
  • Tribal organizations, school districts, and rural employers who want more eyes on their postings
  • Anyone exhausted with mainstream job boards missing everything that isn't a city

If You're an Employer

If you run HR or recruiting for a rural or tribal organization and want your job board pulled in, just send a link. I'll add it. No fees. No hoops. The point of this project is to help communities fill roles that matter.

Submit Your Jobs

If You're a Job Seeker

Use the site freely. Bookmark the jobs. Go straight to the employer. No logins. No nonsense. This is the rare corner of the internet that's actually simple on purpose.

Where It's Going

Far Reach Jobs started as a side project. But the demand is real, and the need is huge.

Next steps include:

  • Adding more tribal job boards
  • Expanding coverage into the Lower 48's rural and frontier regions
  • Improving filters for housing, relocation, and village classification
  • Keeping everything lean, fast, and human-friendly

This will grow at the pace real communities grow — carefully and with respect.
